In the ‘Bengal Global Business Summit’ held in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani said that his company will invest an additional Rs 20,000 crore in West Bengal in the next three years. This investment will be made in retail, telecommunication and bio-energy sectors. Reliance will leave no stone unturned in the development of Bengal. Ambani said that Reliance has so far invested about Rs 45,000 crore in Bengal. Reliance’s telecom unit Jio is taking 5G to every corner of the state, especially rural areas. Most parts of Bengal have been included in its scope. Jio’s network ‘covers’ 98.8 percent population in the state and 100 percent population in Kolkata telecom circle.
