The temple is now in dilapidated condition
If existing facts are to be believed, this Ram temple in Ayodhya was built by the Maharaja of Bettiah Raj in 1600 AD. Built in the famous Nagar style of Bettiah Raj, this temple is established exactly on the lines of other temples including Kalibagh, Durgabag, Sagar Pokhara of Bettiah. There is mention of Bettiah temple at the top of the temple itself. The seated idols are also made by artisans from here. Although due to lack of maintenance, this temple has now reached a dilapidated state, but the worship of our Ram and Mother Sita present in the temple is still done with full dedication.
Mahant Laxman Das’s name is recorded
As soon as you enter the courtyard of this temple, you feel that it is connected to Bettiah. This temple with the tableau of Ram Darbar is quite ancient and it is believed that around the time when temples were being built in Bettiah in 1600 AD, this temple would have been built in Ayodhya also. Along with Bettiah temple, the name of Mahant Laxman Das is also written at the entrance, but after the demise of Mahant ji, no one is there to see it.

The Maharaja of Bettiah had established many religious places and temples during his lifetime. At present there is mention of 56 temples of Bettiahraj. One of these temples is also established in Prayagraj. At present worship is done in all the temples. Wherever the temples of Bettiahraj are, a special beauty exists within them. The courtyard of these temples is quite long and wide. All these temples are built in Nagara style.
Survey is being done regarding properties
Bettiah Raj Administrator cum ADM West Champaran Akhilesh Kumar said that instructions have been issued by the government to survey the properties of Bettiah Raj. Instructions have been given to all the zonal officers about this. Information has been received about Bettiah temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The survey team will find out and necessary work will be done.
