Temperature likely to reach 41 degrees in Kolkata

The temperature in Kolkata is likely to reach 41 degrees by the end of this week. The weather office said that the temperature can reach 41 degrees Celsius on April 21 and 22. Apart from Kolkata, heat wave will continue in other districts of South Bengal also. The maximum day temperature in Bankura on Tuesday was 41.2 degrees Celsius. Temperature has been recorded at 40.8 degree Celsius in Asansol, 39.4 in Sriniketan, 39.6 in Dumdum, 37.4 in Diamond Harbour, 35.4 in Digha and 39.4 degree Celsius in Kolkata.

Alipur said that there will be heat wave like conditions in East Burdwan, West Burdwan, West Midnapore and Bankura on Tuesday.

Alert issued in these districts

On April 17, heat wave may occur at one or two places in East and West Burdwan, Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura, East and West Medinipur, Birbhum and Murshidabad. On April 18, this situation will be seen in East and West Burdwan, Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura, East and West Medinipur, Birbhum, Murshidabad and North 24 Parganas. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the districts of North Bengal for the next few days.
