In many districts the day temperature will be 4-5 degrees Celsius above normal. The maximum temperature of Bankura can cross 40 degrees. In some districts of Gangetic West Bengal the temperature can reach 40-42 degrees. The temperature in Kolkata can reach 38 degrees Celsius this week. Due to excess water vapor there will be discomfort along with heat. Day temperature will increase. There is almost no chance of rain.

Rain will continue in North Bengal
The weather office is asking the residents of the district to be cautious due to the heat wave. However, rain will continue in North Bengal. Today there is a possibility of rain at various places in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar and Jalpaiguri districts. Rain may continue in the high hilly areas of Darjeeling.
