Bengal STF arrested four Manipuri drugs suppliers with heroin worth Rs 1 crore

Based on secret information, the Special Task Force (STF) team of Bengal Police has arrested four drug suppliers with heroin worth Rs 1 crore. This includes three women from Manipur. The names of the arrested accused have been stated as Mohammad Meftahul Islam (42), Merlin Khoenlhing (37), Nampi Ngailut (41) and Ngahnikim Haokip (42). One kilogram and 130 grams of heroin has been seized from their possession. Its total price in the market is said to be Rs 1 crore. STF sources say that they had received secret information that female drug smugglers from Manipur were coming to Murshidabad on a large scale.

Three women had arrived from Manipur with drugs worth Rs 1 crore

On the basis of this information, secret surveillance was being maintained. Suddenly three Manipuri women were seen standing with a man near Umarpur turn adjacent to the National Highway under Raghunathganj police station of Murshidabad district. They were talking among themselves. Seeing this, after becoming suspicious, he was caught and interrogated. They started trying to run away. After which all four drug suppliers including three women were arrested. During their interrogation it was revealed that all three women were residents of Manipur. They had brought drugs from Manipur and reached Fatahul Islam, a resident of Lalgola in Murshidabad district, to supply them. Earlier, after receiving this news, all four were arrested by the STF team. All four are being interrogated.
