Raniganj: Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, Subhendu Adhikari, gave Rs 1 lakh each to the families of seven deceased who died in the abandoned coal mine located in Narayankudi OCP of ICL last month. Mr Adhikari reached Narayan Kudi area of Raniganj on Sunday. On this occasion, Asansol South MLA Agnimitra Pal, District BJP President Bappa Chatterjee, Arijit Roy, Badshah Chatterjee and other local BJP leaders and workers were present with him. On this occasion, Shubhendu Adhikari said that seven people had died in OCP, but it is a matter of great regret that almost a month has passed since that accident. Till now no leader or minister of Trinamool Congress has come to meet these people. There has been no news from the district administration either. He said that he has all the information about the corruption of Trinamool Congress leaders of entire Bengal as well as Asansol. They have all the evidence. He said that no illegal work has been stopped. Everything is going on.
Shubhendu Adhikari said that 75% of the corruption is passed on to the top leaders of Trinamool Congress. He said that those who are saying that illegal smuggling of coal has stopped are wrong. The method has changed but smuggling still continues. He said that a case has been registered by CBI against Raniganj police station in-charge and two CID officers at Worli police station in Mumbai. There is an allegation against him of extortion from a businessman. He said that cases are registered against police and CID officials not only in the state but also in the police stations of other states. In December, three local BJP MLAs and senior BJP workers will launch a campaign against all corrupt leaders.
