Bengal Panchayat elections: Violence is not stopping, now Trinamool leader was beaten to death in Kaliachak

Kolkata. The cycle of violence regarding Panchayat elections in the state is not taking the name of stopping. On Saturday also one person lost his life. Trinamool Congress leader Mustafa Sheikh, a resident of Sujapur gram panchayat area of ​​Kaliachak block of Malda district, was beaten to death by miscreants. Trinamool has blamed Congress for this incident. Six people have been murdered in nine days since the announcement of Panchayat elections in the state.

According to local sources, the Trinamool Congress had nominated Mustafa Sheikh from Sujapur Gram Panchayat of Malda. According to the information, Mustafa was returning home by bicycle around 1.30 pm on Saturday, when some miscreants attacked him with bamboo, sticks and iron rods. He was beaten to death. It has been told that Mustafa Sheikh was also the former head of Sujapur Gram Panchayat.

After this incident, Minister of State for Irrigation Sabina Yasmeen reached the spot and met the relatives of the deceased and assured them of all possible help. The minister has blamed the Congress for this incident. He said that tickets have been given in a selective manner in the Panchayat elections. Many miscreants were not given tickets. He left the Trinamool and joined the Congress and many miscreants from among them together killed Mustafa Sheikh. Trinamool Congress supporters blocked the national highway for a long time in protest against the incident.

On the other hand, the Congress claims that the party has nothing to do with the murder. On the other hand, State Election Commissioner Rajeev Sinha called the District Magistrate of Malda and inquired about the incident and called for a detailed report regarding the incident.

June 08: Congress worker Phoolchand Sheikh was shot dead in Murshidabad.

June 15: CPI (M) leader Mansoor Ali was shot dead in Chopra, Uttar Dinajpur.

June 15: ISF worker Mohinuddin Mollah and Trinamool leader Rashid Mollah killed in a violent clash in Bhangarh of South 24 Parganas district.

June 15: Trinamool leader Mojammal Sheikh was beaten to death in Navagram, Murshidabad.

June 17: Trinamool leader Mustafa Sheikh was beaten to death in Malda.
