Bengal: Internal discord in India alliance, Firhad Hakim and Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary divided over Mohammad Salim’s statement.

Kolkata: On Saturday, CPI(M) State Secretary Mohammad Salim had targeted Abhishek Banerjee in Murshidabad. Regarding this, Minister Firhad Hakim said that Salim is behaving like Mir Jafar. Despite CPI(M) joining the ‘India’ alliance against BJP, he has opened a front against Trinamool in the state. In Murshidabad, Salim had said that when they were saying ‘Chor dharo, jale bharo’, at that time Abhishek was going to Delhi by special train in the dark and meeting Rahul Gandhi. He is pleading with Congress to save himself. Salim also said that Congress will have to understand that if it had not supported Trinamool in the year 2011, Trinamool would never have come to power. Hitting back at Salim, Firhad Hakim asked why he was so worried. It seems that he is trying to break the ‘India’ alliance. At a time when the India alliance is getting stronger, he is acting like Mir Jafar.

What did Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary say?

On Mohammad Salim’s statement, State Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said that we have understood what we have to understand. Why anyone goes to Rahul Gandhi can only be explained there. It is not appropriate to make such statements without having any knowledge of any subject. State BJP President Sukant Majumdar said that this is a matter of their ‘India’ alliance. Who will eat fish fry with whom is their personal matter.
