Kolkata: An IPS officer working as ADG Provisioning, who reached Kolkata airport on Sunday afternoon to catch a flight, has been accused of misbehaving with the airport staff by showing off his position. According to airport sources, the officials reached Kolkata airport on Sunday afternoon to catch the flight. It is alleged that he misbehaved with the policemen present there. He is also accused of misbehaving with female policemen. It is said that he wanted to go beyond the rules and carry extra luggage. When the flight attendant told him about this, he allegedly behaved rudely with her. After this a tense situation arose at the airport. Police officers arrived from the airport police station to handle the situation, but still the officer’s arrogance did not diminish in the slightest. Then he was brought out of the airport. Eventually the officials tried to convince them. After this the situation gradually calmed down. Despite hearing screams, it was not clear what had happened.
An army soldier has been arrested for trying to loot money by breaking into the ATM of a nationalized bank. This incident happened late on Saturday night in Naxalbari market area of Darjeeling.
