The problems of passengers have increased due to malfunction in the metro in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. People are facing problems due to disruption in metro service while going to office. According to Metro sources, there was a problem in power supply on the third line near Kalighat station. Due to this, electricity remained disrupted between Rabindra Sarobar and Jatin Das Park metro stations since 8 am. At present metro is running from Dakshineswar to Maidan and from New Garia to Tollygunge. Metro Rail CPRO Kaushik Mitra said that keeping in mind the safety of passengers, the movement of metro is still closed. Work is going on and soon metro services will become normal. After this, metro movement has been started on the down line from Maidan to Kabisubhash at around 11 o’clock.
