Bihar government has decided to increase the honorarium of these people. Bihar government has started the process to increase the honorarium of contract workers. A committee has been formed for this. Now this committee will soon discuss all the points and submit its report to the government. The government will make an announcement in this regard after receiving the report.

Committee formed under the chairmanship of Development Commissioner

The honorarium and remuneration of employees employed on contract in various offices of the state government will increase. The state government has decided to determine and revise the honorarium and remuneration of employees employed on contract. For this, a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner. The member secretaries of the committee will be the principal secretaries or secretaries of all concerned departments. Not only this, Principal Secretary or Secretary of General Administration Department and Finance Department have also been made its members.

Opinion sought from all departments

According to the information received, the state government has told all its departments that if the determination of honorarium does not seem appropriate as of today, then put it before the committee headed by the Development Commissioner. After that, on Monday, Principal Secretary of General Administration Department, Dr. B. Rajender has written a letter to the Secretaries of all the departments, Director General of Police, Divisional Commissioner and District Officers in this regard. In this letter, information was given about constituting a committee under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner to review the honorarium or remuneration of employed and contractual workers.

About four lakh contractual workers are employed

It is known that about four lakh contractual employees are working in various departments of the state government. They will benefit from determination and revision of their honorarium and remuneration. There are many departments including social welfare, health, rural development, where a large number of employed contract workers are employed. In such a situation, a decision will soon be taken regarding increasing the honorarium of these people. The basis will be formed by adding the market rate, salary of the equivalent post and other allowances. According to the instructions of the General Administration Department, this committee will determine the remuneration by considering two points. The first point in this will be the market rate. Whereas, the second point will be the consolidated sum obtained by including the entry level salary, dearness allowance and other allowances of the equivalent post available in the government.
