Bareilly. A bully from Pilibhit has threatened the contractor of Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) and Setu Nigam by making a WhatsApp call to withdraw the tender. Dabangg warned not to enter Pilibhit if the tender was not withdrawn. Due to this the contractor and his family are in panic. He complained about the matter to PWD officers as well as police officers. After investigation, the police registered an FIR against unknown mobile number 9758760309.
Along with this, security personnel have been deployed at the contractor’s house. It is said that some bullies in Pilibhit district are not allowing any contractor to reduce the rate. Due to which no contractor is ready to work in Pilibhit. Therefore, tenders for construction works are prepared again and again. But due to fear no one is ready to take the tender.
ASM builder was tendered
Construction work has started getting affected in Pilibhit. It is said that after the request of departmental officials, ASM Builder, the firm of Javed Ali Khan, a resident of Akashpuram in Baradari police station area of Bareilly, had put an online tender for a bridge. This tender was done on 20 percent willow. But, since then the process of threatening the owner of the firm has started.
FIR registered in Baradari police station
Contractor Javed Ali Khan, resident of Akashpuram of the city, has lodged an FIR under section 506, 507 at Baradari police station. He says that on September 21, at 5.44 pm, a WhatsApp call was received on his WhatsApp call from unknown mobile number 9758760309. But could not pick up the car due to the drive. After this, a WhatsApp call was made on unknown mobile number 9758760309 at 5.45 pm. During this, a person asked how the tender was floated in Pilibhit. This tender will have to be withdrawn, otherwise I will not be allowed to enter Pilibhit.
Along with this he threatened to deal with him in Bareilly itself. Said, the data of you and your family has been collected. Along with this, he threatened using abusive language. After this the phone was disconnected. The victim says that he works for the Government Bridge Corporation and road construction in UP. There is a threat to his life and property. Due to this he and his family are in great fear.
Sub Inspector started investigation
Sub Inspector Dushyant Goswami of Baradari police station has started investigating the case. Along with this, police personnel have also been deployed for the security of the contractor’s family. PWD officers are also scared of this. The police is searching for the accused Dabangg who made the WhatsApp call.
Complaint to PWD Minister also
It is said that some powerful people in Pilibhit are not allowing the contractors doing construction work to work. Due to this, important construction works are also pending. Preparations are also being made to complain to PWD Minister Jitin Prasad in this matter.
