Bareilly : A fraud of Rs 34.70 lakh was done in the name of getting the son of a Subedar Major posted in Bareilly Military Area (Army Area) of Uttar Pradesh in B.Tech and the daughter of a Junior Commissioned Officer admitted in MBBS. In this case, Cantt police station has registered an FIR against the accused and started investigation. But now Cantt police station is busy searching for the accused. Due to which a police team will go to Pathankot military area.

Vishwajit Singh, the new inspector of Cantt police station, said that two FIRs have been registered in this matter. The accused in both the cases are the same. Instructions have been given to the investigator to arrest the accused soon. Along with this, the victimized military officers have also informed their officers about the action against the accused. Some of the accused in this are associated with the army. Efforts are underway to take military action against them.

An alleged IAS officer also accused of cheating

The victimized army officers told that one of the fraudsters had introduced himself as an IAS officer in the Education Ministry (Human Resource Ministry). His PA’s name is also there. Along with this, there is an allegation of involvement of three army officers posted in Pathankot military area.

This is how the fraud happened

In this matter, army officers complained to SSC on Monday. After this, on the instructions of the SSP, the Cantt police station had registered an FIR against the accused. This is how the military officers were cheated. Subedar Major Vikram Dutt Tyagi, posted in GE East located in the Cantt area of ​​the city, had told the police that his son Aryan was preparing for B.Tech. He had a conversation with Major Sohan Prasad Bhatt posted at CWE Mamun in Pathankot military area regarding his son’s admission in B.Tech.

He told that Subedar Sandeep Singh is in his office. There is a lot of familiarity in his ministry. He will get your son admitted. After this, Subedar Major Vikram talked to Subedar Sandeep Singh regarding admission. On this, Sandeep told that the Director of Education Department is PA Rishi of alleged IAS Harsh Kumar Goyal. He does admission work. After this, all three demanded Rs 14.25 lakh from Vikram to get admission in a government college.

This amount was given to the accused. But even after this the admission did not happen. A similar fraud has happened with Ompal Singh, a resident of Kandharpur, Lal Phatak, Cantt police station area. He is a junior commissioned officer in the army. His daughter was also defrauded of Rs 20.45 lakh in the name of MBBS admission in a government medical college. But, in both these fraud cases, all three accused are the same.
