Bareilly: The Bareilly police of Uttar Pradesh arrested a smack smuggler from Delhi on Tuesday from Jhumka Chauraha with smack worth Rs 1.10 crore. One of his companions absconded. The police is looking for the accused. He had come from Delhi to collect the smack consignment. Police registered a case against the accused and sent him to jail.
Smuggler arrested near Jhumka intersection
A joint team of Railly’s Drugs Cell and CBganj police station arrested a smack smuggler with 1100 grams of smack from Jhumka Square on Tuesday. The price in the international market is said to be around 1.10 crores. Police said that information was received that two smugglers were smuggling narcotics near the under-construction gate of Jhumka Chauraha. At the same time, the team detained Suresh Kumar, a resident of JJ Colony Bharatpur under Wazirpur police station area of Delhi.
Police looking for second accused
Police recovered 1100 grams of smack from the accused. Its price in the international market has been said to be 1.10 crores. Along with this, 310 rupees cash has been recovered. Police said that the accused has asked Arbaaz Ali, a resident of Behra village of Faridpur police station area, to buy smack. Together they do illegal smuggling of smack.
