Bareilly News: Wife murdered for opposing illicit relations, husband absconds leaving dead body in hospital

Bareilly : A young man, resident of Sohra village of Hafizganj police station area of ​​Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, is accused of murdering his wife in protest against illicit relations. The police have taken possession of the body and started investigation. But the family members of the deceased kept the body in the hospital. The accused is said to be absconding. Ramshree, a resident of Purniyan village of Baheri police station area of ​​Bareilly Dehat, married his daughter Asha (27 years) to Ramji Saran, a resident of Sorha village of Hafizganj police station area, a year ago in the year 2022. A month ago, Asha had given birth to a daughter. Ramshree alleged that the son-in-law had illicit relations with a woman. Daughter Asha opposed illicit relations.

There used to be fights every day over this issue. According to the mother of the deceased, Ramji Saran had fought with Asha on Saturday evening. At night the son-in-law called and told him that he was coming to drop his daughter to her parents’ house. When Asha protested, she was brutally beaten and strangulated to death sometime in the morning. On Sunday someone informed him on the phone that his daughter’s body was lying on a stretcher. After this she reached the hospital with her son Sanjeev. Asha was found dead on a stretcher in the hospital. Husband Ramji Saran and in-laws were not in the hospital. Those people had absconded. He accused the son-in-law and his family of murder. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Police said that after receiving the complaint, FIR will be registered against the accused.

The fight was going on for two months

The relatives of the deceased told that the accused son-in-law had illicit relations with a woman, due to which he used to beat the daughter often. There were frequent fights with the daughter for about 2 months. The daughter had complained about this several times in her parents’ home as well. Tried to convince the son-in-law, but the son-in-law did not stop fighting.
