Bareilly News: MP-MLA caught Jal Nigam AE’s lie, pothole free road also exposed

Bareilly : Lok Sabha elections 2024 are near. But, the roads of Bareilly in UP are not becoming pothole free. Bareilly Lok Sabha MP and former Union Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar, BJP’s Nawabganj MLA Dr. MP Arya and Jal Nigam’s AE came face to face regarding potholes on the roads. DM expressed displeasure with AE. He instructed the public representatives to provide the list after the road is built. During the meeting of public representatives and officers held in Bareilly Collectorate Auditorium, MP Santosh Kumar Gangwar raised the issue of broken roads due to the pipeline of drinking water scheme. On this he said that the Jal Nigam will be fine. But the MP-MLA immediately exposed his lies. The MP said that when he goes on a tour, he sees the roads in dilapidated condition.

Nawabganj MLA said that the vehicles are breaking down due to the bad condition of the roads. On this, the DM asked the AE of Jal Nigam about how many villages have the drinking water supply started and where are the roads in good condition? Asked for information about this. But, he could not answer it. DM warned to take care in future. Along with this, he talked about laying drinking water supply lines and giving the list of road construction to the public representatives. This will help in knowing where drinking water supply has started and where the roads have been repaired. Public representatives should have this information. On the delay in making the roads pothole free, Prashant Patel, representative of District Panchayat President Rashmi Patel, said that no objection was sought from PWD for 12 roads. DM informed the Executive Engineer. But, he could not give correct information. Due to which the DM ordered to stop his salary. During this time MLAs were present.

Information about development works will be available on WhatsApp group

MP Santosh Gangwar complained in the meeting about not getting the list of Prime Minister Road Scheme. On this the DM gave instructions to form a broadcasting group. He said that with this, public representatives will be able to get information about lighting works. Minister of State for Forests, Dr. Arun Kumar instructed the public representatives to provide the list of development works done from time to time. Officials said that only the beneficiaries with Aadhar card will get the benefit of LPG refilling.
