Bareilly: Ganga-Ramganga swollen due to torrential rains, close to touching the danger mark, farmers worried due to harvesting of crops.

Bareilly News: Due to continuous rains for the last four days in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, the rivers have once again come in spate. Due to this, people living in the coastal areas are scared, while crops have also suffered a lot due to the rain.

Heavy rain in Uttarakhand also

Due to the changing pattern of monsoon, the water level of all the rivers of the division including Ramganga passing through Bareilly and Ganga passing through Badaun has increased. It is raining heavily in Uttarakhand also, the effect of which is visible in the plains here. Due to this, the process of releasing water from the barrage has also started. 83 thousand cusecs of water has been released from Kho Barrage of Uttarakhand, 22 thousand cusecs from Gola Barrage and 23 thousand cusecs from Kosi Barrage.

Crops along the river banks started sinking

The water level of Ganga and Ramganga rivers has increased. Due to this, crops on the banks of rivers have started sinking, while harvesting has started in the villages of Mirganj. With this, the danger mark of Ganga and Ramganga is less than one meter left. The administration has been alerted regarding this. Flood posts have been activated and monitoring has been started. The Flood Division Department has issued a warning to the people of villages close to the rivers regarding the possibility of floods in Ramganga and Ganga.

91 mm rain in 98 hours

In the last four days, there has been 91 mm rainfall in Bareilly and 225 mm rainfall in Moradabad. Due to increase in water flow in the rivers, the process of releasing water from the barrage of Uttarakhand has started within the last 48 hours. Along with this, preparations are going on to release more water. The water level of Bareilly’s Ramganga river is continuously increasing. The water level of Ramganga river was 159.3 meter gauge on Monday. It became 161 meter gauge by 4:00 pm on Tuesday. But at night it has been recorded at 162.7 meter gauge, while there is danger at 163.07 meter gauge. That is why an alert has been issued.

Temperature rises due to sunshine in Bareilly

Meanwhile, after several days of rain, there has been strong sunshine since Wednesday morning, due to which the temperature has increased. The humidity has increased due to sunlight. The maximum temperature in Bareilly has now reached close to 32 degrees Celsius. Whereas during the rain it was 26 and 27 degrees Celsius.

Power cut made everyone miserable

People are troubled by power cuts from city to village. There are continuous power cuts here. Apart from poor transfer, supply is also disrupted due to fault in the line. Consumers are complaining to local electricity officers. But no hearing is being held on their complaint. Due to this, anger among the consumers is increasing.
