Bareilly: Female constable filed an application in SDM court to marry a youth from another community, resentment in Hindu organizations

Bareilly: In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a woman sub-inspector has filed an application (application) in the Sub-Divisional Officer Sadar (SDM) court to marry a Muslim youth of Bahedi. The youth does property dealer and wood business. This application was made in the court on 17 May. After filing the application of the woman sub-inspector, SDM Pratyush Pandey sent notices to SSP, Tehsildar Bahedi, Tehsildar Sadar, City Kotwali, Izzatnagar police station as well as many other police stations.

Due to this, the relatives of the inspector came to know that she is going to marry a Muslim youth. Due to which Hindu organizations expressed their displeasure, while the brother of the inspector objected to the marriage by giving a complaint to SDM Sadar. He has said that the mental balance of the female inspector is not right. There will be a hearing in the SDM court on the objection of the sub-inspector’s brother. It is told that even in Meerut, the home district of the inspector, his family members went to the police station along with the village head and demanded that the police stop the marriage. The woman constable of 2017 batch was posted at Bahedi Kotwali. During this, the conversation started between the two, which has reached marriage only after a few years.

The female inspector is posted in Bareilly for a long time. It is said that he is currently in a police station in the city. However, a few days ago, he had filed an application in the SDM court for a court marriage with a Muslim youth of Bahedi under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. He was trying to get married secretly, but his brother came to know about it. After this he reached Bareilly. He has filed an objection by giving an application to SDM Sadar.

Hindu organizations became active due to the information of the application in the court regarding the marriage of the female constable with a Muslim youth. With this, rumors of an uproar started flying, but it is expected to meet the officers of Hindu organizations on Saturday.
