Bareilly: In the Umesh Pal murder case, former MLA Khalid Azim alias Ashraf, the younger brother of mafia Atiq Ahmed, was to be produced in the Bareilly Anti-Corruption Court today. But suddenly before the appearance, Ashraf’s health deteriorated. Due to which the hearing was canceled on Friday. According to the information received, Ashraf was given a medical checkup in the jail hospital. Where his BP (blood pressure) got low and heartbeat increased. Because of which he was not taken to court.

Ashraf is lodged in Bareilly jail

Let us tell you that Azim alias Ashraf, brother of Mafia Atiq Ahmed, has been lodged in Bareilly Central Jail-2 for almost two and a half years. Ashraf’s wire has been found connected in the Umesh Pal murder case. Ashraf is accused of conspiring in this murder case. It may be known that on March 7, a case has been registered against Ashraf and his accomplices under various sections at the Bithri Chainpur police station. Which is being investigated by SIT. While Ashraf was to appear today in Bareilly’s Court related to Prevention of Corruption Cases in connection with this case. But due to deteriorating health, the hearing was cancelled.

Ashraf has been acquitted in Umesh Pal kidnapping case

The hearing was held on March 28 in the Umesh Pal kidnapping case of former MLA Ashraf. At that time the police took Ashraf from Bareilly jail to Prayagraj. Mafia Atiq Ahmed was given life imprisonment in this case. But, Ashraf was acquitted because he was in jail at the time of the incident. Ashraf, lodged in Bareilly jail, is accused of conspiring in the Umesh Pal murder case in February. Regarding this, after appearing in the Prayagraj court, efforts were on to interrogate him in remand.
