SSB personnel deployed at Indo-Nepal Bhitthamod check post in Sitamarhi on Thursday arrested a Bangladeshi youth who was entering Nepal from Indian territory. The arrested youth, Rakibul Islam Babu, father Badal Gaur (29 years) is a resident of Bhosre-4 village under Madaripur police station of Madaripur district of Bangladesh. During interrogation, he made many shocking revelations to the SSB. He told that he came to Bihar from Tamil Nadu, India and reached Bhitthamod. He has talked about going to Kathmandu after entering Nepal. Neither any valid documents for living in India nor passport and visa have been recovered from him. During investigation, only a mobile phone and wearing clothes were found from him. The Bangladeshi youth arrested by the soldiers of Bhittha Camp has been handed over to Sursand police station.

Chinese citizen arrested from Kishanganj border..

On the other hand, soldiers of the 41st battalion of SSB from Panitanki border of India-Nepal in Kishanganj have arrested a suspected Chinese citizen while entering India illegally. The arrested person has revealed his name as Gombe Tamang. During this period, Indian currency – Rs 143320 and Nepalese currency Rs 62240 – were seized from him. On Wednesday, as part of a routine check, a vehicle coming from Nepal was stopped in which the documents of one person present were checked and the name of one person in the passport was Gombo Tamang (M/48 years) son- Neema Tamang. , Address was found mentioned Gandhi Road, Nabin Village, Darjeeling, West Bengal. This person was found to have Indian passport number – Z 4811413 and Chinese visa number – M- 43055033. During this time, investigator SSB jawan LT Tamang, increasing his affinity with the person coming from Nepal, tried to get more information about his residence. But he could not tell anything about his nearby address.

The names of his mother and father given by the Chinese citizen did not match with the names written in the passport. When he was told that the names he had just given did not match the passport certificates, he even offered a bribe of Rs 50,000 to SSB SI GD Shiv Paswan who was present there. Due to which the suspicion on him deepened. After which the said person was handed over to Khodibari police. During this time, Khodibari Police contacted Darjeeling Police and investigated the said person and it was confirmed by Darjeeling Police that no such person lives in the area mentioned in the passport. Meanwhile, Khodibari police has registered a case.

Here, SSB officers and soldiers of BOP Dubbatola of Dighalbank, G Company Headquarters of SSB 12th Corps, deployed in the security of India-Nepal border, did joint patrolling on the border with APF soldiers of Nepal on Thursday. Officials of both the countries marched about 5 kilometers on foot on the India-Nepal border pillar.
