Bangladeshi arrested from India-Nepal border in Raxaul, was trying to infiltrate

A Bangladeshi citizen who was trying to infiltrate into the Indian border from Nepal has been arrested. Currency of various countries including India and fake passport and Aadhar card have been recovered from the arrested Bangladeshi citizen. The Bangladeshi has been arrested near the Friendship Bridge connecting the India-Nepal border.

Fake documents and foreign currency recovered

The arrested Bangladeshi national has been identified as 42-year-old Shravan Barua. Foreign currency of various countries including India and photocopy of Bangladesh passport, fake Aadhaar card of India and fake passport of India have been seized from the arrested Bangladeshi citizen. According to the information, after the youth’s activity appeared suspicious during border patrolling, the matter came to light when he was interrogated by the immigration officials.

Bangladeshi citizen is being interrogated by security agency

During interrogation, the Bangladeshi citizen told the officials that he had gone to Kathmandu on September 15. He had to go to South Korea. NOC from Government of India was sought at Nepal airport, after which he was returning back to India to get NOC. During investigation, photocopy of expired Bangladesh passport, Indian passport, Aadhaar card made in Manughat Tripura along with 36 thousand Indian cash, 200 Nepali cash and 4 lakh 90 thousand Korean currency were recovered from the suspected Bangladeshi. . At present, police and other security agencies are interrogating the arrested Bangladeshi.
