The triple murder in Bansdih Kotwali area of Ballia created a sensation. In Devdih village late on Sunday night, a man first killed his wife and two children with a sharp weapon and then committed suicide by hanging himself. His body was found hanging in the garden. As soon as this information was received, sensation spread in the area. On receiving the information, SP S Anand, ASP DP Tiwari, area officer SN Vaish and forensic team reached the spot, informed about the incident, took possession of the blood-soaked body and sent it for post-mortem. Actually, there was a dispute between Shravan Ram (35), resident of Devdih village, and his wife Shashikala Devi (35) over some issue. At the same time, Shravan Ram brutally murdered his wife and two sons, Surya Rao (7) and Mitthu (4) with a sharp weapon and threw the bodies in the garden. After this he also committed suicide by hanging himself from a nearby tree. Four deaths in one house created a stir in the area. On receiving the information, top officials along with the police also reached the spot. Police found a suicide note from the pocket of deceased Shravan at the spot, in which he took responsibility for the entire incident.

Whereas SP S Anand told that Ankit Ram (resident of Dhodhwa police station Nagara) had come to Bansdih police station and informed that his brother-in-law Shravan Ram was beating his sister Shashikala. On receiving this information, the local police immediately reached Shravan Ram’s house, where upon investigation, the blood soaked bodies of Sasikala and her two children were found in the garden in front of the house. Shravan Ram’s body was found hanging on a tree near the dead bodies of his wife and children. The police got him down and then filled the Panchnama and sent the four bodies for post-mortem. On inspection of the incident site, a suicide note was also recovered from Shravan Ram’s pocket, in which he had confessed to committing suicide by killing his wife and two sons due to a family dispute.

While talking to the family members, it was revealed that in the past there was a case in the court regarding the dispute between the husband and wife, but after a mutual settlement one and a half year ago, Sasikala came back to her in-laws house and started living separately from the family members. However, later they started fighting again. Due to which Shravan Ram ended his own life by killing his sister-in-law and two children with a sharp weapon.
