Lucknow: A young man was stabbed to death on Tuesday night in Karambar village of Khejuri police station area of Ballia. The youth was a B.Com second year student at Badal Patel Town Degree College. It is being told that he was sleeping on a cot outside his relative’s house. On Tuesday night at around 12.30, unknown assailants attacked Badal with a sharp knife while he was sleeping. The family members came to know about the incident after Badal shouted. But by then the attackers had fled.

According to the information, the house warming ceremony of the new house of Badal Patel (19) was held on Monday. The household items were kept in his relative’s house. He also slept on the cot in the same house. While his mother, aunt and other relatives were sleeping at some distance away. After the knife attack, the family members reached the spot after Badal Patel shouted. Even before this the attackers fled. The family members were taking the injured Badal to the district hospital but he died on the way.

Ballia Police says that the reason for the murder has not been known. People are being questioned. Further action will be taken based on the complaint of the family members. It is noteworthy that in the early hours of Monday in Ballia, girl Gudiya Yadav (24) was shot dead in the courtyard of her house by three unknown people. Just 24 hours later, on Tuesday night, a B.Com student was stabbed to death by unknown assailants.
