Triumph Bajaj Auto Deal: Bajaj Auto will sell British motorcycle company Triumph’s bikes in India. Prior to this, Bajaj Auto and Britain’s largest motorcycle company Triumph have entered into a global partnership. Under this, the new range of medium capacity motorcycles will be manufactured in India.

Bajaj Auto, a two-wheeler and three-wheeler maker in the country, has announced a partnership with Triumph Motorcycles, a British bike maker. Bajaj manufactures two wheelers and three wheelers in the country. This partnership has been done for the design, development and distribution of mid range motorcycles. Both the companies issued a statement informing about this.

British bike maker Triumph said it has handed over its sales and marketing operations in India to Bajaj Auto Ltd. Triumph and Bajaj Auto informed that the transfer of operations has been completed. Both the companies will also introduce a jointly developed mid-size bike later this year.

Both the companies had announced a strategic partnership in 2020, under which they plan to collaborate to produce the mid-size Triumph motorcycle. Bajaj Auto Executive Director Rakesh Sharma said in a statement that this partnership will give Triumph an opportunity to grow its business.

The statement said that under the partnership, the existing 15 Triumph motorcycle dealerships will be managed by Bajaj Auto. However, the brand will remain separate and will continue to operate at Triumph’s global standards.

This is an important partnership for Triumph which is progressing very well,” said Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer, Triumph Motorcycles. (with language input)
