For samosa lovers, the shopkeeper has also started a challenge, in which the customer will have to eat the whole samosa in 30 minutes. Ujjwal Kaushal, 30, is the third generation owner of Kaushal Sweets located in Meerut Lalkurti. He said, “Four cooks prepare a 12 kg samosa in six hours. The samosa is stuffed with 7 kg of traditional fillings like potatoes, peas, spices, paneer and dry fruits and it takes about 90 minutes to fry.” He said that he is getting orders from many people who prefer to cut a 12 kg samosa instead of a cake on their birthday.

The cost of one samosa of 12 kg is Rs 1500.

Kaushal’s family is in the business of sweets for more than 60 years. In July last year, he came up with the idea of ​​making a giant samosa weighing 4 kg. “Looking at the response we got, we started making samosas of 8 kg and 12 kg. The cost is Rs 1,500 and we take orders in advance only.”
