Bade Miyan Chote Miyan or Maidaan…who will win?

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan vs Maidaan Box Office: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is all set to release in theaters on the occasion of Eid. The movie is going to clash with Ajay Devgan’s sports drama Maidan. Fans are very excited about both the films. According to initial estimates, Akshay Kumar’s film has sold more than 42,000 tickets so far. Whereas Ajay Devgan’s ‘Maidan’, which will be released on the same day, has sold 16,000 tickets so far.

According to industry tracker Sacanilc, the film sold 42,252 tickets in advance booking, whose total price is Rs 1.05 crore. Of these, 13,000 tickets were sold in national chains till Tuesday night. This film will be released in 3D and IMAX formats in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Whereas, the Hindi release of Maidaan will be available only in 2D and IMAX format. The film, directed by Amit Sharma, has sold a total of 16,178 tickets across the country, of which 9,000 have been sold in national chains. Both the films can perform quite well, because there is no big release next week either.

Discussing the significant box office clash between ‘Maidan’ and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, Ajay Devgan had earlier said in an interview, “I wouldn’t call it a clash… If it is called a clash, it means that Two films should not be released on the same day. However, sometimes you have to do this due to commitments. Both the films are of different genres. We are all like a family, we are not looking at it as a clash, it is a big weekend and both the films will do well.”

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, ‘Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’ is produced by Pooja Entertainment in association with AAZ. The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F. Maidan, on the other hand, is a biographical sports drama film, scripted and directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma. It is produced by Akash Chawla, Arunav Joy Sengupta, Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. Starring Ajay Devgan, Priyamani and Gajraj Rao, the film tells the story of Syed Abdul Rahim, a pioneering football coach in India between 1952 and 1962.
