Ayodhya: ‘The capital of Suryavansh’ will be illuminated with the ‘aura of the Sun’, Yogi government is giving makeover to Ayodhya with solar energy

Ayodhya, famous all over the world as the city of Ram and the capital of Suryavansh with glorious history, is now focusing on clean energy to meet the energy needs under the ‘Navya Ayodhya’ vision. The work of development and operation of a solar power plant capable of producing 40 MW electricity in Rampur Halwara village of Navya Ayodhya has reached the final stage. According to the vision of CM Yogi Adityanath for power generation from solar energy, a solar power plant is being developed and operated on 165 acres at a cost of Rs 200 crore. This plant will play a big role in establishing Ayodhya as a city powered by solar energy. For the establishment of this plant, on the directions of CM Yogi, the district administration has provided land on 30-year lease to Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) at the rate of Re 1 per acre per year. Solar energy has a big role in the joint development blueprint that has been drawn up in Ayodhya as per Vision 2047 and this is the reason why UPNEDA has signed an agreement with NTPC Green Energy Limited to operate the plant in this district. NTPC has mandated Jackson Solar Company to operate and develop the plant under the PPA model, which, apart from being a solar panel producer, is one of the largest companies working in the field of solar energy in the country.
