Ayodhya Ram Mandir: The idol of Ramlala made from three billion years old rock, will now be known by this name

Ramlala is seated in the newly built Ram temple of Ayodhya. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the statue of Ram Lalla was consecrated on Monday. After that the temple was opened for public darshan from Tuesday. Here, a day after the consecration, a big revelation has been made regarding the name of Ramlala. A priest associated with the consecration ceremony has claimed that Ramlala will now be known as ‘Balak Ram’.

Priest Arun Dixit told, new name of Ramlala

Ramlala The new name was revealed by Arun Dixit, a priest involved in the consecration ceremony. The idol of Lord Ram, which was consecrated on January 22, has been named ‘Balak Ram’, he told PTI while talking to PTI. The reason why the idol of Lord Ram is named ‘Balak Ram’ is that he looks like a child, who is five years old.

Priest Arun Dixit started crying after seeing the idol of Ramlala.

Priest Arun Dixit shared his experience after seeing Ramlala. He said, the first time I saw the statue, I was thrilled and tears started flowing from my eyes. I cannot explain the feeling I felt at that time.

The old statue was placed in front of the new statue

The old idol of Ramlala, which was earlier kept in a temporary temple, has been placed in front of the new idol. Lakhs of people watched the ‘Pran Pratishtha (Abhishek)’ ceremony on television in their homes and neighborhood temples.

Ramlala’s jewelery and clothes prepared after research

According to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the jewelery and clothes for Ramlala have been made after extensive research. To prepare the jewellery, extensive research and study of texts like Adhyatma Ramayana, Valmiki Ramayana, Ramcharitmanas and Alvandar Stotram was done. Ramlala is wearing Banarasi clothes which include a yellow dhoti and a red ‘Angavastram’. The Angavastra has been made from pure gold zari and threads.

The Trust said that this 51-inch statue, carved by Mysore-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, has been made from three billion years old rock. The blue Krishna shale (black schist) was excavated from Gujjegoudanapura in Jayapura hobli in HD Kote taluka of Mysore. The stone was found while leveling the agricultural land of Krishna Shila Ramdas (78) and a local contractor, who had assessed the quality of the stone, brought it to the attention of the temple trustees in Ayodhya through his contacts.

Arun Yogiraj has made the idol of Ramlala. He said, I have always felt that Lord Ram is protecting me and my family from all the bad times and I strongly believe that it was He who chose me for the auspicious work. But I feel that I am the luckiest person on earth and today is the best day of my life. The idols of Ram Lalla for the grand temple were made by three sculptors – Ganesh Bhatt, Yogiraj and Satyanarayan Pandey. The temple trust has said that the remaining two idols will also be kept in other parts of the temple.
