Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Suryadev will do Tilak of Ramlala, scientists of Roorkee told this specialty

The consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla is proposed on 22 January in Ayodhya. Preparations are in full swing to make this event grand. Amidst all this, a team of scientists from the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) of Roorkee was also present in Ayodhya. This team played an important role in the construction of the divine and grand temple of Shri Ram (Shri Ram Mandir). Apart from the foundation of Ram temple, the work of structural design, Surya Tilak and structural health monitoring has been done by the CBRI team. Scientists have built the Ram temple as per zone-four in view of the earthquake. The age of this building is also determined to be one thousand years. Apart from this, scientists have done some special work for Ramlala. On the occasion of Ram Navami, at 12.04 pm, the sun’s rays will fall on the head of Ram Lalla for 20 seconds. Scientist Dr SK Panigrahi said that there is glass on the foundation of the top and floor of the temple. The rays coming from directly in front of the mirror will first be reflected on a basic mirror. Then from here these rays will reach directly on the head of Ramlala. Gear mechanism has been used in this entire process. With its help, the direction of the mirror will be fixed in a special way on Ram Navami.

The team of scientists has completed their work – General Secretary Champat Rai

Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, also said that the team of scientists has completed its work for the anointment of sun rays on the head of Ram Lalla on Ram Navami. . It has been named Surya-Tilak. The sun rays will remain on the forehead of Lord Shri Ram for about five minutes, this experiment has also been successful. On behalf of the Trust, it has been said that the team of scientists from Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee has also contributed in the construction of this grand temple of Shri Ram.

10-12 scientists were included in the team

While talking to the media, CBRI Director Professor R Pradeep Kumar said that apart from the foundation of the Ram temple, the work of structural design, Surya Tilak and structural health monitoring has been done by the scientists of the institute. He told that a team of 10-12 scientists of the institute were involved in this. Scientist Dr. Debdutta Ghosh, who was part of the team, told that the height of Ram temple from ground to peak is 161 feet. No rebar was used in the construction of Ram temple. Interlocking of stone with stone has been done. Sand stone from Banshi Paharpur has been used in this. Scientist Hina Gupta told that there are five pavilions in the Ram temple. First of all is the sanctum sanctorum, in which the idol of Shri Ram will be installed. The second will be the Good Mandap, the third will be the Color Mandap, the fourth will be the Dance Mandap and the fifth will be the Prayer Mandap. Its architecture is in Nagara style.

We and our team are fortunate – Scientist Dr. SK Panigrahi

Dr. SK Panigrahi, a scientist from CBRI Roorkee, who is working on the Surya Tilak Project, said that every year on the day of Ram Navami, Tilak will be done with sun rays on the head of the idol of Lord Shri Ram and there were two challenges before him regarding this. Firstly, the date of Ram Navami changes every year and secondly, the sanctum sanctorum does not have such an architectural design that the sun’s rays can reach there directly. In such a situation, overcoming both these challenges, the sun’s rays will be transported from the third floor of the Ram temple to the idol of Ramlala installed in the sanctum sanctorum through piping and opto-mechanical system. According to the professor, a team of six scientists of the institute was involved in the Surya Tilak Project. Told that in the Tilak project, CBRI Roorkee did the design work of Tilak and piping. Consultation was done by IIA Bengaluru and fabrication by Optica Bengaluru. The work related to the foundation was done by Manojit Samanta, a scientist from CBRI Roorkee. The professor says that we and our team are fortunate. Because we got a chance to work for Shri Ram. Our team worked hard, due to which Lord Shri Ram’s tilak was done through Suryadev.
