Ayodhya Ram Mandir: PM Modi had pledged 32 years ago, he will come to Ayodhya only after Ram temple is built.

The consecration ceremony will take place in the Ram temple of Ayodhya on January 22. Ram Mandir Trust and Yogi and Modi governments are making tireless efforts for the preparations to make this grand ceremony memorable. Besides, common people are also being included in this function. Meanwhile, some pictures from 32 years ago have been shared from the Twitter handle named Modi Archive, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seen offering prayers in Ayodhya with the then BJP President Murli Manohar Joshi. Let us tell you that on January 15, 1992, PM Modi had reached Ram temple in Ayodhya with Murli Manohar Joshi. At that time, Narendra Modi, as an ordinary worker of the Sangh, along with top BJP leaders, had participated in the ongoing Ekta Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. That day, they chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and worshiped Ramlala, who was kept in a temporary tent. During this time he had taken a pledge that he would return here only after the construction of Ram temple.

Now the construction work of Lord Ram’s temple is going on in Ayodhya and on January 22, Lord Ramlala will be consecrated in its sanctum sanctorum in the presence of PM Modi. The foundation stone of this temple was also laid by Prime Minister Modi. With this, the three decade old oath of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being fulfilled. The Vedic rituals for the consecration of Ram Lalla are starting on January 16, a week before the main ceremony on January 22. Before performing Pran Pratistha, PM Modi has started an 11-day fast, which includes fasting based on moral principles. Ethical conduct, which includes regular prayer and yoga. This is a huge responsibility.

Narendra Modi got the responsibility of Ekta Yatra

Let us tell you that in December 1991, Islamic terrorists were creating havoc in Kashmir. Kashmiri Hindus had to flee from here. Terrorists roamed freely in most parts of Kashmir. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi decided that he would take out Ekta Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and hoist the tricolor at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. The responsibility of managing this journey was then given to Narendra Modi. Under the management of Narendra Modi, this yatra started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on 11 December 1991. After this, the yatra passed through the southern states and reached Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on 15 January 1992. Here the leaders participating in the yatra paid obeisance at Ram Janmabhoomi. The Babri structure had not collapsed then. Just a year before this yatra, bullets were fired on kar sevaks here. Therefore the atmosphere here was also tense. When Narendra Modi reached here to visit his birthplace, he stopped and kept staring at Lord Ram Lalla sitting in the tent for a long time.

This is how I fulfilled my promise

Narendra Modi became emotional while talking to the media in Ayodhya. When the media asked Narendra Modi when he would return to Ram Janmabhoomi, his reply was that he would return only when the temple is built here. Some pictures of her visiting Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya with Murli Manohar Joshi are also going viral on social media. Prime Minister Narendra Modi kept the vow he had taken in Ayodhya in 1992 until the Supreme Court paved the way for the Ram temple. He returned to Ayodhya on 5 August 2020 when he was called to lay the foundation stone of the Ram temple. Meanwhile, he came to Ayodhya several times, but did not go to Ramjanmabhoomi. In this way he fulfilled his oath.
