Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Number of priests of Ramlala increased 3 times, priests are serving in two shifts

The number of priests deployed in the service of Ramlala in the Ram temple of Ayodhya has been increased three times. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has taken this decision exactly on the fifth day of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. At present, four assistant priests including the chief priest were deployed in the service of Ramlala. But now ten additional priests have also been deployed. In this way the total number of priests has become 15. All four priests were serving in two shifts from the make shift structure to the Nutan temple. Chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das Shastri was present in both the shifts and supervised. This shift was for morning and evening darshan period. But due to the crowd of devotees gathering for the darshan of Ram Lalla after the consecration, the duration of darshan has been fixed at 16 hours continuously. Due to which the work pressure on the priests has increased. Due to this, an emergency meeting of the religious trust committee of the pilgrimage area was called at Vaidehi Bhawan Janaki Ghat on Friday evening. Apart from the training plan, Tirtha Kshetra General Secretary Champat Rai, Treasurer Mahant Govind Dev Giri, Trustee Dr. Anil Mishra, Temple Construction In-charge and VHP Union Minister Gopal Rao, Committee Member and Ramkunj Kathamandap Mahant Dr. Ramanand Das and his successor Mahant Satya Narayan Das were present in the meeting. Chief Acharya Keshav Prasad participated. In this meeting, after the 16 hours continuous darshan period was fixed, the central topic of disruption in worship was discussed. After this, it was agreed to increase the number of priests. It was also decided to provide opportunities to the trainees undergoing training under the Priest Training Scheme.
