Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Demand for Ramcharitmanas increased before Pran Pratishtha, Geeta Press stock ran out for the first time

Now ten days are left for the consecration ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya. In such a situation, the atmosphere of the country has become devotional. On the occasion of this historical ceremony, devotees are performing various types of religious rituals. Meanwhile, there is a huge surge in the materials and texts related to Lord Ram and Ramayana in the country. The demand for texts related to Ram has become so high that Geeta Press of Gorakhpur, the major publisher of Hindu scriptures, has now run out of copies of Ramcharitmanas and it is becoming difficult to meet the demands. Geeta Press Manager Lalmani Tripathi said that after the announcement of the inauguration of Ram Temple, the demand for Ramcharitmanas as well as Sundar Kand and Hanuman Chalisa has increased significantly. He said that there is no stock of Ramcharitmanas left with the press. Tripathi said that as soon as the copies are printed, they are sent immediately due to demand. There is no list of copies of the version of Ramayana written by Tulsidas.

Lalmani Tripathi also said that generally Geeta Press prints 75,000 copies of the book. This year he published 1 lakh copies. But still the entire stock has been exhausted. He said that apart from Ramcharitmanas, demand for Sundar Kand and Hanuman Chalisa has also increased. This is the first time that Geeta Press is facing shortage of Ramcharitmanas in its stock.
