Auto Sales ReportTata Motors’ total sales declined by 1.62 percent to 74,973 units in May. The company had sold 76,210 vehicles in the same month last year. The company said that its total sales in the domestic market declined by two percent to 73,448 units as against 74,755 units in the same month a year ago.
In the domestic market, the company’s passenger vehicle sales grew by six per cent to 45,878 units as against 43,341 units in May last year. Passenger electric vehicles (including international business) increased by 66 percent from 3,505 units to 5,805 units. The company said that its total commercial vehicle sales declined by 12 per cent to 28,989 units in May.
