Auto Sale Report: 10 percent jump in vehicles, FADA released figures

Sales Report By FADA : New data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) claimed that retail auto sales in India grew by 10 percent year-on-year in May. Total retail sales of vehicles in the domestic market grew by 10 percent in June. These include passenger vehicles and two-wheelers. The Federation of Vehicle Dealer Associations (FADA) gave this information. Last month, the total retail sales of vehicles increased to 18,63,868 units from the figure of 17,01,105 units in the same period a year ago.

Retail sales of passenger vehicles increased by five percent to 2,95,299 units in June. In June 2022, 2,81,811 passenger vehicles were sold in the domestic market. Similarly, two-wheeler sales increased by seven percent to 13,10,186 units last month. A year ago, 12,27,149 two-wheelers were sold in the same month. Three-wheeler sales grew by 75 per cent to 86,511 units from June last year’s figure of 49,299 units.

Retail sales of tractors grew by 45 per cent year-on-year to 98,660 units, while commercial vehicle sales stood at 73,212 units, up marginally from 72,894 units in June 2022. FADA President Manish Raj Singhania said that the retail sales of vehicles have increased by 10 percent on an annual basis. On the other hand, there has been a decline of eight percent in sales on month-on-month basis. This indicates a softening of the vehicle market for a short time.(courtesy of input language)
