Lucknow: Islamic fundamentalist organization Popular Front of India in UP (PFI) ATS against (Anti-Terrorism Squad) has taken a big action. The UP ATS team has raided the capital Lucknow, Moradabad, Meerut, Varanasi and Azamgarh and other places. In the search operation that went on simultaneously from Saturday morning till late night, it is said that many suspects have been taken into custody. At present, no official information has been given regarding the raid. There is an atmosphere of commotion after the suspects were taken into custody in the search operation in different parts of the state.

CCTV footage of lifting the youth from Vikasnagar in the capital Lucknow has also come to the fore. According to sources, ATS from Vikas Nagar caught a young man from a photo copy shop. The team took him with them. The ATS suspects that this youth has links with the PFI agents caught in Kursi village and Itaunja in the past. At the same time, ATS also raided BKT’s Achramau village. ATS has detained two people associated with PFI. It is being told that they are being interrogated. After this, other suspects related to PFI can be arrested. Earlier, NIA had raided many places in UP to arrest PFI people.

ATS raids in western UP-NCR

In the NCR area of ​​Meerut, the matter of detaining five suspects from Lisadigate and Kotwali police station area has come to the fore. It is being said that SP leader Abdul Khaliq Ansari from Lisadi Gate area and Mohammad Musa from Heera Lal Mohalla of Mawana have been detained. SP leader Abdul Khaliq has also been the metropolitan president from Budlanshahr. Apart from this, raids have also been conducted in Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad and Shamli in western UP and NCR.

Many suspects were also taken into custody in Purvanchal

In Purvanchal, three people have been taken into custody from Nizamabad and Mubarakpur police station area in Azamgarh. ATS has arrested four people in Varanasi. The team conducted raids in Adampur, Jaitpura, Bhelupur, Sarnath, Kotwali and Chowk police station areas. It is being told that many suspicious and material related to anti-national activities have been found from the mobile and laptop of the arrested people. On the other hand, a youth has been arrested from Moradabad, who used to propagate PFI in his block.

The central government has imposed a ban in 2022

Actually PFI was banned by the central government in 2022. Many states had demanded to ban PFI. At present, the issue of PFI is hot in the Karnataka assembly elections as well. In fact, after the ban on the Islamic terrorist organization SIMI, the people associated with it formed the PFI. Despite the ban on PFI, there is an allegation of conducting its activities in an illegal manner.
