At this station in Bihar, reservation of 500 seats is done every week for Pune Express, but the train does not stop.

Nawada. Due to non-stoppage of weekly train Jasidih-Pune Express passing through Nawada on Kiul-Gaya railway section, the people of the district are facing problems. Every week around 500 passengers from across the district book their tickets on Pune Express. Those who have to go to Kiul or Gaya to catch Pune Express train. Whereas, that train goes via Nawada station. The operation of the train was started about two years ago. At that time, there was a wave of happiness in the entire city that now there will be facility to go to Mumbai and Pune from Nawada station. But, when the train started, Gaya stop has been given directly from Kiul. The most important and main district Nawada station lies between Kiul-Gaya railway section.

Voices have been raised demanding a halt

The residents of the city were disappointed due to the train not stopping and since then everyone is hoping that if not today, then tomorrow the leaders here will get it stopped. At present the matter remains the same. MP Chandan Kumar also gave assurance several times regarding the stoppage of the train, whereas the weekly train from Gonda to Delhi opens every Monday, which stops in Nawada, but the Pune Express does not have a stoppage in Nawada. Hundreds of passengers travel to Delhi by Godda Delhi Express train every week. Similarly, if Pune Express is stopped, then hundreds of students will not have to catch a train from another city to go to study.

Nawada city connects many religious places

Thousands of people from rural areas of the district go to Mumbai to earn their livelihood. They also have to go to Gaya or Kiul and catch the train. Whereas, the residents of the city say that even though this train may not be stopped at Nawada station, sometimes at other stations the train is stopped due to signal and sometimes due to track maintenance, but it was not stopped at the station for two minutes. going. This is causing trouble. Nawada is also important for the Jains because the Digambar Jain temple is the place of nirvana of Lord Mahavir’s 24th and last Tirthankar, his first chief disciple Gautam Ganadhar Swami. After this, people of Jain community from many states reach Nawada to visit Lachuad, the birthplace of Lord Mahavir. The famous tourist destination Rajgir, which is at a distance of 20 kilometers, attracts thousands of tourists from India and abroad every day. Going there is also easy from Nawada.

What do the townspeople say?

I work in Mumbai only. When there is a festival or some important work, I come to my city. I often travel via Patna. If Pune Express stops at Nawada, then we will get great convenience and time will also be saved.

-Gyan Prakash Arya, Ramnagar

We have to go to Mumbai Pune for business work. It is not that it does not have passengers in Nawada. Hundreds of people go from Nawada to Mumbai Pune. The leaders here should come forward and take initiative to stop this train. For this I have also given written application to the railway officer.

Rajeshwar Prasad Rajesh, President, Chamber of Commerce

A good number of passengers from Nawada leave here for Mumbai Pune. Tickets are also available from here. The only weekly Jasidih Pune train also passes, but due to it not having any stoppage, we have to face problems. It is very important for it to stop here.

-Gaurav Kumar, city resident

There is not a single direct train from Nawada to Mumbai. It would have been better if Pune Express, the weekly train running via Nawada on Kiul-Gaya route, had stopped here. Whereas after booking the ticket from Nawada station itself, one has to go and catch the train. Whereas this train comes via Nawada.

Vijay Jain, shopkeeper

Many times, from the Railway Minister to many senior officials, we have given written applications regarding the stoppage of Pune Express, yet nothing has been done. There should be a stop for Pune Express.

Brajesh Rai, President, Medicine Sellers Association

What is CCTCE?

Ticket reservation for about 500 passengers is done every week in the weekly Jasidih Pune Express. The tickets of all these passengers would have been given instead of Gaya or Kiul, because Pune Express does not have a stoppage at Nawada station.
