The cabinet has approved the formation of Assistant Professor Appointment Rules-2023 for elementary schools. Agreed to change the provision of 200 marks examination for three optional subjects for teacher appointment in classes six to eight in the recruitment manual. Now this exam will be of 180 marks. The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission had sought guidelines from the Education Department in this regard. The cabinet approved the payment of ex-gratia grant amount to the next of kin of the prisoners after their death in the districts of the state. Under this, five lakh rupees will be given to the dependents if the death is confirmed due to mutual quarrel between the prisoners, beating by jail personnel or failure of the prison administration, four lakh more in case of death due to negligence of duty of jail officer, employee or medical personnel. In case of death by suicide, a grant of three lakh rupees will be given to the dependents of the deceased.
Netarhat Tourism Development Authority will be formed
The cabinet approved the formation of Netarhat Tourism Development Authority. Its tenure will be Netarhat Panchayat area. The authority will work in a planned manner for tourism development in Netarhat. The tourism secretary will be its chairman. Whereas, Director Tourism, Deputy Commissioner cum Managing Director of Latehar, Forest Divisional Officer Lohardaga, Deputy Director of Palamu Tiger Project North and South Division, DDC of Latehar, Mahuadand SDO, Mahuadand CO will be the director of authority. The authority will also have the power to remove the encroachment.
Damage will be compensated in terrorist, extremist or ethnic incident
The cabinet approved amendment in the earlier resolution for grant of compensation to ordinary citizens in lieu of loss of movable and immovable property damaged in terrorist, extremist or ethnic incidents. Under this, compensation will also be given for the loss of movable and immovable property in communal violence. A maximum of one lakh rupees will be paid for the immovable property damaged in the attacks. At the same time, a maximum grant of Rs 50,000 will be given for damage to movable property.
