The custom will continue in Rajasthan

According to the trends of vote counting released on Sunday for the assembly elections of four states, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ahead in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh while Congress is ahead in Telangana. According to the data received from the Election Commission till 12 noon, in the 230-member assembly of Madhya Pradesh, BJP seems to be returning to power with a lead of 155 seats while Congress is ahead on 72 seats. Even in Rajasthan, BJP is far ahead of the ruling Congress. The people here have been changing the government in every election for the last three decades. From the trends so far, it seems that this time too the tradition will continue. Here BJP is ahead on 114 seats, while Congress is ahead on 70 seats. Voting was held on 199 seats in the state because voting on that seat was postponed due to the death of a candidate.

In the initial trends in Chhattisgarh, the ruling Congress was ahead of the BJP and in the middle it seemed that there was a close contest between the two, but later the BJP gained a significant lead. Here, BJP is leading on 52 out of 90 seats while Congress is leading on 36 seats.

In its efforts to strengthen itself politically, Congress is hoping for a hat-trick in Telangana. Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) led by Chandrashekhar Rao can snatch power. In the 119-member state assembly, Congress is ahead on 67 seats while BRS is ahead on 36 seats. BJP is ahead on eight seats, AIMIM on three and Communist Party of India on one seat.
