ATS Additional SP Rahul Srivastava and his wife had filed an allegation of rape and abortion of a student from Lucknow. In this case, a case was registered against SP Rahul Srivastava, his wife Manini Srivastava and 4 friends in Gomtinagar extension police station. In this case, SP Rahul Srivastava and his wife Manini Srivastava have got relief from the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court on Tuesday. While hearing in the Lucknow bench, the court has stayed the arrest of both of them in the rape case till Wednesday. The court has fixed the date of hearing again on January 17. While hearing the case, the division bench of Justice Rajan Roy and Justice Narendra Kumar Johri said that if no sufficient and concrete evidence is found against him, then he should not be arrested in this case till January 17 at Gomtinagar extension police station. The court gave this order on the petition filed by Rahul Srivastava and his wife. The court has fixed the next hearing of the case on January 17 and has asked the government lawyer to present information about the evidence, if any, collected against the petitioners. Besides, the petitioners were also ordered to cooperate in the investigation of the case. In the petition, a request has been made to put a stop to the arrest of the petitioners by challenging the FIR lodged in this case. It was argued on behalf of the petitioners that they were falsely implicated in this case. On the other hand, the government lawyer opposed the petition.
