Arvind Kejriwal Arrested: CM Arvind Kejriwal has not got relief in the money laundering case related to Delhi Liquor Policy. PMLA Court has sent Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on ED remand. The court has sent CM Kejriwal on ED remand till March 28. It is noteworthy that ED had asked for 10 days’ remand from the court, but the court gave custody only till March 28. Special Judge of Rouse Avenue Court, Justice Kaveri Baweja said that CM Kejriwal will be produced in the court again on March 28 at 2 pm.

‘I will run the government from jail only’- CM Kejriwal

After getting ED’s remand of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal till March 28, a big statement has come from CM Kejriwal. According to media reports, after the court’s decision, CM Kejriwal has said that he will run the government from jail itself. He said that he will not resign. It is noteworthy that CM Kejriwal’s lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi had earlier attacked the ED and said that CM Kejriwal is the first CM of the country who has been arrested while in office.

ED calls Kejriwal the mastermind of liquor scam

ED is calling CM Arvind Kejriwal the mastermind of the Delhi liquor scam. ED has said that CM Kejriwal is the conspirator of such a big scam along with Delhi government ministers and AAP leaders. ED has claimed that the liquor policy was made to benefit some people. In return, CM Kejriwal had taken bribe. The Enforcement Directorate has told the court that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was directly involved in the formulation of the excise policy.

What stand did ED present in the court?

CM Arvind Kejriwal told the court that he was directly involved in the use of crime income in AAP’s Goa election campaign in 2022.
Chief Minister Kejriwal was involved in a conspiracy to prepare liquor policy to benefit some people by demanding bribe.
ED said that Arvind Kejriwal is the mastermind and main conspirator of the Delhi liquor scam in connivance with his ministers and AAP leaders.
Taking advantage of being the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal helped Aam Aadmi Party in money laundering. AAP is a major beneficiary of the proceeds of crime.

CM Kejriwal will remain CM- Atishi

On CM Arvind Kejriwal getting ED custody till March 28, AAP leader Atishi said that we very respectfully and politely disagree with the court’s decision. Even after 2 years of investigation, ED has no evidence. ED has forced its witnesses to give statements against Arvind Kejriwal. We will find out all. He said that we will take possible legal routes. Opposition parties are being targeted one by one in front of the judiciary. Arvind Kejriwal will always be the CM of Delhi. There is no constitutional restriction on his not being the CM.

BJP retaliated

After the court’s decision, BJP has hit back at CM Arvind Kejriwal. BJP National Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that till now you and Arvind Kejriwal were arguing that there is no evidence, this is a fake case and there is no evidence against us. Sirsa said that today the ED presented 28 pages of evidence and after looking at this evidence the court has sent him to ED remand. The court understands that they have such strong evidence before them that is why they have sent him on remand.
