Art & Culture: Panchayat fame Faizal Khan spread his wings a lot

Art & Culture: Patna (Bihar); April 6, 2024; Sahityotsav Jashn-e-Adab Cultural Caravan is one of the biggest cultural events of heritage, Indian art, culture and literature. This program was organized at Prem Chand Rangshala, Patna, Bihar.

This cultural festival was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture (Government of India), Ministry of Tourism (Government of India) and Department of Art, Culture and Youth – Government of Bihar.

Padma Bhushan Pt. Sajan Mishra and Pt. Swaransh Mishra, Padmashree Malini Awasthi, famous folk and classical singer and Rabab player of Kashmir, Padmashree Ustad Gulfam Ahmed Khan gave a remarkable presentation in the two-day cultural program.

‘Abhi Tuk Rote-Rote So Gaya Hai’ is a unique Romantic Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira dedicated to the great poet Mir Taqi Mir on 300 years of his birth, in which some of the finest and famous poets and poets of India participated like – Farhat Ehsaas, Azam Shakri, Javed Mushiri, Ramayan Dhar Dwivedi, Gautam Rajrishi, Ashwani Kumar Chand, Kunwar Ranjit Chauhan, Anas Faizi and Shakir Dehlvi.

Kathak dance performance ‘Raksh – Ghunghru Bol Uthe’ by Vidha Lal and group filled the auditorium with energy and colour.

The fast-paced Urdu poetry game ‘Baitbaazi’ was a different experience. Kissa Heer Waris Shah – Manu Sikandar Dhingra’s original story with Rabab player Padmashree Ustad Gulfam Ahmed Khan of Kashmir changed the entire atmosphere of the auditorium. A panel discussion ‘Aaj ke daur ka cinema OTT ki shakal mein’ which included the conversation of Panchayat’s famous actors Faizal Malik and Kunwar Ranjit Chauhan was very interesting with the actors sharing the incidents and their views.

Mehfil-e-Ghazal of singer Chandan Das mesmerized the audience. Sufi singing by Rajeev Singh & Group was a fitting finale to the event.

Speaking about the event, poet and founder, Sahityotsav Jashn-e-Adab, Kunwar Ranjit Chauhan said, ‘It is a true honor to get the opportunity to celebrate ‘Jashn-e-Bihar’ in our culturally rich city of Patna. ‘Sahityotsav Jashn-e-Adab Cultural Caravan Virasat’ is organizing events from one Indian state to another that showcase different shades of Indian art, culture and literature. Our effort is to connect more and more people, especially the youth, with Indian art, culture and literature. After the tremendous success in many states, we are inspired to take our program to more states and union territories. We are humbly proud that accomplished, renowned and respected artists are gracing our stage with their performances. We are grateful for the invaluable support of the Ministry of Culture (Government of India), Ministry of Tourism – Incredible India (Government of India) and Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Government of Bihar who made this program possible.

Sahityotsav Jashn-e-Adab Cultural Caravan Virasat has been organized in many states and union territories – Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Jammu and Kashmir and many more to come. Will continue in states and union territories. Sahityotsav Jashn-e-Adab Cultural Caravan Heritage presents the essence of our country’s heritage which comes alive in the form of Indian art, culture and literature.
