Bareilly : There was a significant reduction in the Air Quality Index (AQI) due to rain and drizzle before Diwali in UP. The people here got relief from the poisonous air. But since Diwali, the AQI of more than two dozen cities of UP including Noida, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Lucknow, Meerut, Mirzapur, and Bareilly has increased. It is not happening. The AQI of Noida and Ghaziabad is not coming below 300. On Friday morning, the AQI of Noida was 352. Due to which Noida is at 7th place among the 100 polluted cities of the world. Ghaziabad is at 34th place. The AQI here is also more than 350. Allahabad’s AQI is 292 at 36th place, Kanpur’s 288 at 48th place, 250 of UP capital Lucknow at 62nd place, Faizabad at 65th place is 245, 66th place is Varanasi’s 243, Jaunpur’s 242 at 67th place, 223 at 75th place, Mirzapur’s 222 at 76th place, Meerut’s 209 at 81st place, Bulandshahr’s 197 at 87th place, Hapur’s 187 at 94th place. Along with this, the AQI of Bareilly is in a very bad condition. The AQI of Bareilly was 194 at 5 am on Friday. But, it came down to 94 at 9.40 am. The AQI of Civil Lines here is 89, AQI of Rajendra Nagar is 95, and Subhash Nagar is 94. The AQI was 98. However, the AQI is expected to increase further in the next 24 hours.
