Another Vande Bharat Express for UP, Railways starts work on semi-high speed train between Lucknow-Gorakhpur

Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh is going to get the gift of another Vande Bharat Express. Indian Railways has planned to start semi-high speed train between Lucknow – Gorakhpur. If all goes according to plan, North Eastern Railway (NER) zone will get the first new train and Northern Railway (NR) zone will get the fifth new train. Mahesh Gupta, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Lucknow Division of North Eastern Railway said while briefing the media. , “Proposal to run Vande Bharat train between Gorakhpur and Lucknow is in preliminary stage, need of this train etc. is being studied”.

Will run till Delhi on completion of standard

Railway official says that it is possible that if the proposed semi-high speed train Vande Bharat between Lucknow-Gorakhpur runs on track, it will get extension till Delhi. The PRO said that “If the plan meets the criteria of demands and other operational aspects, then there may be a possibility of extending the train till Delhi. This train is expected to run from the month of October.”

Lucknow- Gorakhpur will save 1 hour 45 minutes

With the commencement of Vande Bharat Express between Lucknow-Gorakhpur, passengers will be able to travel between Lucknow and Gorakhpur in less than an hour. The distance between the two cities is around 270 km. Vande Bharat Express running from Banaras to New Delhi completes the journey of 319 km from Kanpur in three hours 32 minutes. It completes the journey of 124 km till Prayagraj in 97 minutes. The proposed Vande Bharat between Lucknow-Gorakhpur can complete the journey in three hours and a few minutes.

Chief Engineer inspected the track

Presently, Gorakhdham Express and Bihar Sampark Kranti Express take the least time on this track. Both the trains take 4 hours 45 minutes to cover the same distance. Apart from Lucknow-Gorakhpur, the people of Devipatan division will get maximum convenience from Vande Bharat. This train can have Gonda stoppage. Work is going on on war footing to start operations of Vande Bharat Express train. Rail track and signal point are being upgraded. The Chief Engineer of North Eastern Railway has also inspected the track.
