Latehar, Chandraprakash Singh: A campaign to eradicate Naxalism has been going on in Jharkhand for the last several years. Under this campaign, search operations are being conducted continuously against Naxalites in all the Naxal affected districts. Meanwhile, Latehar Police has got a huge success. A Naxalite associated with CPI Maoist surrendered before the police on Friday. The name of the Naxalite is Jitendra Nagesia alias Jitendra Kisan. He was an active member of CPI Maoist. Jitendra Nagesia has surrendered before Latehar DC Himanshu Mohan and SP Anjani Anjan. SP Anjani Anjan told that Jitendra Nagesia had joined the Maoist organization in December 2018. Was active in Maoist organization for about five years. He along with members of his organization was involved in the incidents that took place under Chhipadohar police station, Baresandh police station and Mahuadand police station area. After Jitendra Nagesia surrendered, Latehar DC Himanshu Mohan and SP Anjani Anjan and other police officials welcomed him by covering him with a shawl. Ngesia has said that he has left the Maoist organization after being influenced by the surrender policy of the government. He said that he wants to live like a respectable city with his family. Therefore he decided to leave the path of Naxalism.
