Another loss of Rs 6 crore to Mafia Atiq Ahmed and Company, file of Bengal Hotel ready

After issuing an order to confiscate the property worth Rs 12.42 crore located in Gauspur Kathula of Puramufti of mafia Atiq Ahmed in Prayagraj, the police is now keeping an eye on two other properties. Police has prepared the file of Bengal Hotel and 200 square yard plot located in Shahganj. Now soon a report will be sent to the Commissioner’s Court seeking permission to confiscate both these properties. Police had recently come to know about Atiq’s stake in Bengal Hotel located in Minhajpur, Shahganj. When investigation was carried out, it came to light that earlier a contract was signed with the owner to run the hotel on rent. After this, Atiq Ahmed captured half of the hotel with the help of his people. When he protested, he was brutally beaten and even threatened to die. Later, the deed of the hotel land was divided into three parts. In which one part was in the name of Atiq.

Action was taken in 2008 under BSP government

In this case, FIR was also lodged against Atiq and other people in Shahganj police station. However no action was taken. The hotel was confiscated in 2008 during the BSP government. However, later Atiq freed it and gave it to his henchmen to live in. Apart from this, the police also got information about 200 square yards of land owned by Shaista Parveen on Katju Road behind the hotel. During investigation, it was revealed that Atiq had arrogantly purchased this land in the name of Shaista at throwaway prices. Sources say that preparations have been made to confiscate both these properties in the case registered under the Gangster Act. The price of the plot is around Rs 1.25 crore while Atiq’s share in Bengal Hotel is believed to be worth around Rs 5 crore. In such a situation, files have been prepared to confiscate both the properties worth Rs 6 crore. Now soon they will be sent to the Police Commissioner’s Court. These will also be confiscated as soon as permission is granted.

Action against property in the name of mason Hublal postponed

On the other hand, the action to confiscate benami property worth Rs 12.42 crore located in Gauspur Katahula could not be taken on Sunday. Sources say that the next date will be decided soon. Just a day before, the Police Commissioner’s Court has issued an order to confiscate it under gangster. It is noteworthy that Prayagraj Police has revealed a huge asset of mafia Atiq Ahmed. This property is worth twelve and a half crore rupees which was purchased by the mafia in the name of Hublal, a mason with a daily wage of Rs 200, resident of Lalapur. Hublal came to Prayagraj Commissionerate on Saturday and handed over all the land documents to the police. Police will soon confiscate this property.

Benami assets worth crores are in the names of close ones and servants.

This 25 bigha land is in Kathula village of Prayagraj. Mafia Atiq Ahmed had made this land in the name of this laborer, the value of which is Rs 12.550 crore. The administration has issued orders for attachment of this benami property. This is another case of benami property. Atiq had also collected property worth crores through his benami properties in the name of his family members, close ones and his servant. Recently, the Income Tax Department had seized six properties worth crores purchased in the name of Ashraf’s servant Surajpal. Investigation revealed that property worth crores was purchased in the name of Surajpal, servant of Ashraf gang member Lalla, brother of Atiq Ahmed.
