Bareilly: Now building a house, shop or commercial property has also become expensive. In the month of September, cement companies have increased the price per bag by Rs 15 to 20 (each bag of 50 kg cement). But, this price is expected to increase further. Prices decrease every year in July-August due to less construction activities during the monsoon season. But, this year these prices did not come down, but now in the month of September construction activities are increasing again. Therefore there is more demand. To take advantage of this, cement companies have started increasing prices.

The price of a bag of cement of ACC Company was Rs 390 to Rs 395, but now it has become Rs 410 to 420. Along with this, Shree Company’s rustproof cement is being sold at Rs 350 to 475 per bag, UltraTech cement at Rs 380 to 400 per bag. Although there has been a decline in sales due to the sudden increase in the price of cement, cement companies are expecting an increase in sales in the month of October-November.

Construction work increases on Dussehra-Diwali

Construction work stops during monsoon. But, construction work starts during Dussehra-Diwali in October and November. Dussehra and Diwali are considered auspicious. That’s why people start new work. During this period, booking of new houses takes place in large numbers.

rebar prices stable

After the increase in the prices of cement companies, the price of rebar was expected to come down. But, this time the price of rebar has also not decreased. It is said that the prices of rebar are expected to increase further in October-November. However, at present the price of KBS bars is between Rs 6200 to Rs 6500 per quintal, while the bars of Tata, Panther and SAIL are more expensive than Rs 7 thousand per quintal.

Brick is also expensive

This year there is shortage of bricks in the kilns of Bareilly division. It is said that the prices of bricks have also started increasing. Here the brick is priced at Rs 5000 to Rs 6000 per thousand. But, preparations are also underway to increase the price of bricks.

Prices of vegetables and pulses also started increasing

Tomato prices have decreased in recent times. But, the prices of potato, ridge gourd and bottle gourd have not reduced. The price of hot spices as well as pulses is high. It is said that arhar dal, which was sold at Rs 130 to 140 per kg, is being sold at Rs 160 to 165 per kg. Along with this, the prices of lentils, urad and gram have also increased.
