People are coming from far and wide to see the statue of Lord Vishnu which came out of the field during plowing in Sonikpur village of Gopalpur police station area of Gopalganj district. A group of saints also arrived to see the idol on Friday. Sages and saints who came from different monasteries of the area saw the idol. After this, formal worship took place. First the idol was bathed with water and then with milk. After this, puja was done with flowers, fruits and other worship materials. Apart from the saints and sages, hundreds of male and female devotees participated in the puja.
The idol contains idols of all the 24 incarnations of Lord Vishnu.
Mahant Padam Das Ji Maharaj, who is leading the group of saints, told that this is the idol of Adi Narayan, in which the idols of all the 24 incarnations of Lord Vishnu are present. Babulal Das, Awadh Bihari Das and other sages, saints and villagers were present on the occasion. Let us tell you that during the plowing of the fields in Sonikpur on Thursday, an ancient idol of Lord Vishnu was found, a crowd of nearby villagers gathered to see it. Administrative officials also reached there for investigation. In the statue, Lord Vishnu is holding conch, chakra, mace and flowers in his hands. There are small pictures of other gods and goddesses on three sides of the main statue.
Villagers made a 500 meter road by filling soil, temple will be built
After finding the statue from the field, there is a flood of faith among the villagers. Preparations to build the temple are in full swing. The villagers built a 500 meter road in just one day with the help of tractor-trolley and by donating their own labour. This road connects the place selected for the construction of the temple with the paved road passing through the village. On the other hand, a team of villagers is busy collecting donations. It is said that the construction work of the temple will start soon.
Two statues and bricks have already been found in the field
Villagers told that even three years ago, the idol of Hanuman ji was found while plowing. The idol of Radha Krishna was found there two years ago. However, the villagers did not show so much activity at that time. Now after finding the idol of Lord Vishnu, people say that there must have been an ancient temple under the field. People have also found bricks as remains of the ancient temple.
