Anand Mahindra will gift electric ‘XUV 400’ to chess player R Praggnananda

New Delhi : Fulfilling the dream of the parents of young Indian chess player R Praggnananda, who reached the final of the FIDE World Cup, Mahindra & Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra has announced to gift his company’s luxury electric vehicle XUV400. Giving information about the company’s gift of this electric vehicle to Praggnananda’s family on the social media platform ‘X’ (Twitter), Anand Mahindra said that the real goal of any car manufacturer is to fulfill the dreams of the people.

Praggnananda reached the final of World Chess Championship

Let us tell you that at the age of just 18, R Praggnananda was successful in reaching the final of the World Chess Championship last week. Although, he lost to world champion Magnus Carlsen in the title match, but he made everyone his fan with his brilliant game. Excited supporters had suggested Mahindra, who was active on social media, to gift a ‘Thar’ vehicle to Praggnananda. Reacting to this, Mahindra said that it would like to gift a new age vehicle ‘XUV400’ to Praggnananda’s parents to encourage him towards the mind game of chess.

Parents should encourage brain exercising games: Anand Mahindra

Anand Mahindra said that I would like parents to try to attract their children towards chess and promote this brain exercising game. He said that like electric vehicles, it is an investment in a better future for our planet. I think we should gift an XUV400 to Praggnananda’s parents.

Anand Mahindra sought opinion from Rajesh Jejurikar

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra also sought opinion from the company’s Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (Vehicles and Agriculture Division) Rajesh Jejurikar on his suggestion. Jejurikar said in his social media post that the XUV400 developed as an electric SUV would be the best gift for Praggnananda’s parents. Our team will get in touch with them to supply them with the special edition vehicle. On the other hand, Pragyanananda thanked Anand Mahindra and Rajesh Jejurikar for this gift and said that getting an electric vehicle was the dream of my parents and thank you for making it a reality.

Electric XUV400 was launched in January 2023

Mahindra launched its first electric SUV XUV400 in the country in January this year. This new SUV will directly compete with Tata’s Nexon EV. The company has started booking this car. The new XUV400, based on the company’s XUV300, is the electric version of this car, as well as the first Mahindra EV to come with the company’s Twin Pix logo. Its bookings have started, and the company is targeting to deliver 20,000 units by the end of its first year. The price of this car starts from Rs. 15.99 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 18.99 lakhs.
