The government hospitals of the city are ready to deal with any untoward incident during Diwali. Especially the health department has put PMCH, IGIMS, NMCH, New Gardiner Road Hospital and Rajvanshi Nagar Hospital on high alert. Separate beds have been reserved in these hospitals. As a precautionary measure, teams of doctors and paramedical staff have been put on standby. Adequate arrangements have been made for medicines used in the treatment of patients burnt by firecrackers. You will also get solid treatment for eye related problems. In view of Diwali, special arrangements have been made in PMCH. Hospital Superintendent Dr IS Thakur said that along with junior doctors, senior doctors have also been put on duty separately. Special doctors will also be on call. Instructions have been given to admit emergency, surgery as well as burn patients. Especially separate teams have been deployed in burn units and emergency. 20 beds have been reserved separately to deal with emergency situations during Diwali. On the other hand, roster duty of doctors has been imposed by reserving beds separately in IGIMS, Gardiner Road Hospital also.

198 magistrates and police officers deputed for Diwali

198 magistrates and police officers have been deputed to maintain law and order on Diwali in Patna. The district administration has issued a number regarding emergency. Information about emergency can be given on these numbers. For law and order, magistrates and police officers have been deputed at 24 places in Patna Sadar subdivision, 41 in Patna City subdivision and 54 places in Danapur subdivision. 45 magistrates will be safe in the district control room and seven magistrates will be safe in the Patna City sub-divisional control room. 27 magistrates have been deputed in three shifts at the idol immersion site. 10 patrolling teams have been formed. Four units of 108 ambulances have been deputed in the district control room, three units in the city control room and three units in the Danapur control room along with a team of doctors and essential medicines.

200 fire brigade personnel deployed for fire prevention

Fire engines have been deployed in areas like Boring Road, Rajabazar, Kurji Mod, Saguna Mod, Digha Haat, Gaighat, GM Road, Rajivnagar, Gola Road, Phulwarisharif Golambar. 200 personnel have been deployed on all these vehicles. Apart from this, 80 fire engines have been deployed at major intersections of the city. 20 vehicles have been kept in reserve for emergencies. Autos and e-rickshaws will not ply from Dumra Chowki towards Bailey Road today

Shops in Bailey Road are decorated for Diwali. In view of the increasing crowd for shopping, changes have been made in the traffic route. For the convenience of the general public, tempos and e-rickshaws have been diverted from Dumra Chowki (Shekhpura Mod) towards the airport near Bailey Road-High Court. Tempo and e-rickshaw will not operate from Dumra Chowki towards Bailey Road today. In view of the crowd, additional arrangements of traffic police have been made in Bailey Road, Kadamkuan, Bari Path, Churi Market, Hathua Market, Patna Market, Ashok Rajpath, Kankarbagh, Gandhi Maidan, Rajabazar, Boring Road and other areas. Apart from this, the Civil Surgeon has given instructions to put specialist doctors from all the medical college hospitals of the city as well as primary health centers and sub-divisional hospitals on emergency duty and remain on duty 24 hours.

He said that necessary orders have also been issued to all the employees engaged in ambulance service to maintain coordination with the nearest police station, so that on receiving any kind of information, the ambulance can immediately reach the concerned place.
