Ambati Rayudu told the secret of success of MI and CSK, said this big thing about franchises

Former Indian batsman Ambati Rayudu, a six-time IPL champion, won three IPL titles with Mumbai Indians under the leadership of Rohit Sharma and then three titles with Chennai Super Kings under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Rayudu made his IPL debut with Mumbai Indians in 2010 and during his eight-year association with the franchise, he scored 2416 runs in 114 matches. He joined CSK in the IPL 2018 mega auction and played 90 matches for the Men in Yellow and scored 1932 runs. Earlier this year, after winning the IPL 2023 title with CSK, Rayudu had announced his retirement from all formats of the game.

MI and CSK get more success than other teams: Rayudu

Rayudu has watched IPL very closely. Let us tell you that during a conversation with Bear Biceps, a YouTube channel, he explained why MI and CSK get so much success in IPL compared to other teams. He took a dig at franchises like Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings without taking names and said that their management has no idea about how to build a team, and instead of supporting the players, they are always focused on numbers. Remain engaged. He said, ‘MI and CSK have been able to retain their core for a long time, that is why they have been so successful. There is no such thing as weak or strong teams. Everyone has equal money (in the auction). It’s what they do with it. A lot of teams don’t know how to build a team, and a lot of the people sitting in those rooms have no idea at all. Even though they are from the cricket world, I don’t think they see things the way they should. They are just busy with numbers, statistics and all that nonsense.

No player’s career ever ends

Putting forward his point, Rayudu said, ‘Sport is sport, the people sitting there do not see who he is or how capable he is. What is his mentality? How hungry he is to score runs or take wickets. How much impact can he have on the opposing team even in bad conditions? They just look at the stats and say this player is finished. Nothing ever ends. Players always have ups and downs. When a player is going through the learning process, you are there to support him. This is what makes a champion team. MI and CSK team does this. I think KKR was also there when Gauti (Gautam Gambhir) bhai was there.
